Law & Justice Planning
At the request of individual member counties, NWRC has provided support for Law and Justice planning. In 1980, NWRC assisted Island, Skagit and Whatcom Counties plan construction of new jails. In 1999 and 2000, NWRC assisted Whatcom County in developing a strategic Law & Justice Plan. In 2004 and 2005, NWRC provided logistical support for the Skagit County Law & Justice Plan.
NWRC continues to provide logistical support for the Whatcom County Law & Justice Council and is currently assisting in the development of a plan update. These services are fully funded by the county receiving the support.
