The Older Americans Act entrusts Area Agencies on Aging with the responsibility to; “serve as the advocate and focal point for older individuals within the community by… monitoring, evaluating, and commenting upon all policies, programs, hearings, levies, and community actions which will affect older individuals.”
NWRC’s Advisory Board represents NWRC in our communities and advocates for the needs of older adults on the local, state, and national level. They meet regularly to discuss program development, provide input on the use of discretionary funds, and share knowledge of local issues.
NWRC staff advocate for older adults by delivering essential services that promote their well-being, independence, and quality of life throughout the northwest region. To learn more about our supports & services, visit our Services Page.
