Whatcom Cares: A Town Hall Meeting
Join this group of caring community members who come together to help others navigate important topics like Advance Care Planning, Palliative Care, Dementia & Alzheimer’s Care, End-of-Life and After-Death Care. This group focusses on making this conversation easier by answering questions, offering guidance, and sharing resources in a supportive and understanding way.
Some of the topics will include:
·Understanding your choices around what medical care you may, or may not, want as your health changes and what documents are available to communicate these choices.
·What options you have living with dementia around quality of life.
·How to reduce the burden for your loved ones at life’s end.
·Options in WA State for after-death care.
·And most importantly, how to ensure that your values and preferences are respected throughout your healthcare journey.
