SENIOR NUTRITION SERVICES IN SKAGIT COUNTY

The Northwest Regional Council (NWRC) is soliciting responses to its Request for Proposals from qualified providers who are interested in contracting to provide Congregate and Home-Delivered Senior Nutrition Services in Skagit county for July through December 2026. The Senior Nutrition program provides nutritionally sound and satisfying meals at multiple locations as well as home-delivered meals throughout Skagit County. In addition to healthy meals, the program offers opportunities for socialization, information on healthy aging, and meaningful volunteer roles.

It is anticipated that the successful RFP candidate will contract for the amount of $554,664 and the six-month contract will be from July 1, 2026 through December 31, 2026, depending on quality of responses and funding availability. It is anticipated that two twelve-month annual renewal contracts will be available in 2027 and 2028, depending on need, performance, and funding availability.

WA Cares Fund Contracting

The WA Cares Fund is Washington State’s long-term care insurance benefit program, created to help eligible Washington residents pay for approved long-term services and supports when they need assistance with activities of daily living. Eligible beneficiaries may access WA Cares benefits to receive approved services from contracted providers once benefits are activated.

NWRC manages contracts with local providers delivering services funded through the WA Cares Fund and is actively contracting and expanding its provider network to serve eligible individuals within our service area. The WA Cares Fund is administered by the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS).
